DuraSteel
is a unique non-combustible material consisting of two metal
sheets mechanically bonded to a fiber cement core. DuraSteel is
lightweight and used in the construction of fire rated and
resistant barriers, assemblies, enclosures and structures.
DuraSteel is exceptionally robust,
resistant to impact, unaffected by moisture and once installed
requires minimal maintenance even in the most aggressive
atmospheres.
The sheets come 1.2 x 2.5 meters
(approximately 4 x 8 feet) in size and are available in the
following options:
9.5 mm thick (standard thickness)
6 mm thick
G-90 galvanized finish (standard finish)
316 – 2B Stainless steel finish
Other specialty metals (based on minimum quantities)
DuraSteel has a variety of uses. Some of
the most common uses are:
Outdoor and Indoor Transformer Barriers
Fire and Blast Barriers
Fire and Blast Rated Walls, Ceilings, Floors and Doors
Fire and Blasted Rated Ductwork and Ventilation systems
Hazardous Materials Containment
Fire and Blast Rated/Resistant Enclosures
Document Storage Vaults
DuraSteel is by far the most extensively
tested material in Passive Fire Protection. DuraSteel and the
objects constructed of DuraSteel have been widely tested for by
independent laboratories. DuraSteel has been tested for the
following characteristics:
Combustibility
Fire
protection (tested to 6hrs of fire resistance)
Hydrocarbon fires (H0, H60, and H120)
Jet fuel fires
Blast protection
Impact resistance
Physical strength
Hose
stream
Negative and positive pressure testing
Acoustical reduction testing
Frost cycling and resistance
Radio frequency shielding
Thermal conductivity

The
DuraBarrier
DuraSystems recently launched a new pre-engineered
modular barrier, designed to protect people and
property. DuraBarrier has been recognized by FM Global
as an exterior transformer separation and will help
prevent the spread of fire.

Fire, Blast, Moisture &
Impact Resistant

Each DuraBarrier is constructed to be completely pre
engineered, modular and assembled in the field by way of
fasteners. Our DuraBarrier module is Fire, Blast,
Moisture, and Impact resistant. |
