The
DuraWall is DuraSystems’ latest offering to the
passive fire protection industry. The DuraWall offers the
optimum balance between fire performance, cost, ease of
installation and weight.The DuraWall panel
system has been developed with durability, structural and fire
protection in mind. Designed to be easy to handle and install,
DuraWall is the ideal choice when fire and impact resistance is
required.
Each DuraWall panel is a steel-faced
composite panel with a non-combustible rock wool core. The rock
wool core has a zero ODP (Ozone
Depletion Potential) and is
free of HCFC’s (Hydrochlorofluorocarbons).
DuraWall is available in different
thicknesses of panels providing up to 240 minutes of fire
protection. The DuraWall can be used in a wide range of
industries due to its superior insulation,
hygienic, acoustic, structural and fire resistance.
The relativity lightweight panel is ideally
suited for the construction of interior non-load bearing
partitions, walls and barriers that requires tested fire and
impact resistance. The DuraWall panel system is a complete fire
rated system of panels, doors and accessories used to create
walls, ceilings, doorways and penetration openings. The panels
are installed either horizontally or vertically using the
DuraWall joint.
DuraWall's unique joint feature
makes the product practical and installer friendly. The
DuraWall joint is a female / male joint designed to deliver a
system with performance and flexibility. The joint provides a
tight fit thus preventing the penetration of smoke and hot gases
in a fire situation. Once the panels are erected on site the
panel core is completely incased by the interlocking joint
detail. The superior joint design allows for quick and easy
installation as well as providing superior fire protection and a
food-safe environment.
DuraWall is not only fire and impact
resistant. The following are additional benefits of using DuraWall:
Acoustical properties. DuraWall can provide as much as a
31.8 db reduction in noise
Cost effective
Thermal insulation
Water resistance
DuraWall is rot proof and will not encourage the growth of
mould and or bacteria
Multiple finish options available
Can be used in coolers requiring fire protection. DuraWall
can be supplied with either a food safe laminate or
antibacterial coating.

time.

and allows installation in many types of climate.
Most installations will not require the strengthening of
foundations or main structures
