DuraSystems' prefabricated composite panels are ideal for new and retrofit applications where fire protection, sound attenuation or thermal protection are required.
Fire Resistant Panels
DuraWall is an easy to install composite panel that resists fire, sound and thermal transmission.
The DuraWall system is built around a steel faced composite panel with a non-combustible structural high density mineral fiber core with the panel edges easily fitting together with a high performance male-female joint. DuraWall panels are UL/ULC Listed with fire ratings up to 2 hours and are intended for non load bearing fire separations.
The DuraWall panels can be easily removed and reinstalled allowing for flexibility in design and even relocation of the panels. The availability of large DuraWall panels allow contractors to install DuraWall quickly and precisely, helping to reduce labour costs while at the same time producing a high quality finish.
DuraWall panels are great for interior or exterior use and are thermally efficient with R-ratings up to R-23.
DuraWall panels are eligible for LEED credits and are an environmentally sustainable product as the panels contain zero Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP), are free of Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC`s), and are entirely recyclable.
DuraWall fire rated panels are quick and easy to install and provide the additional benefits of noise reduction, thermal efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Thermal Panel System for Plenums
DuraTherm panels are a cost effective and easy to install solution for thermal walls and plenums.
DuraTherm thermal panels are built around a steel faced composite panel with a non combustible high density mineral fibre core and are available in 2.5”, 3”, 4” and 5” thick panels. They are ideal for interior air moving plenums and panel systems. The DuraTherm panels offer exceptional spanning characteristics and can be installed horizontally or vertically, virtually eliminating the need for secondary steelwork, helping save time and money during installation.
DuraTherm panels use a simple tongue-and-groove connection, making for a quick and easy installation. The DuraTherm panels eliminate thermal bridging and can be easily removed and re-installed if required.
The DuraTherm thermal panel system is a simple, cost-effective alternative to field-fabricated thermal walls or plenum assemblies. Easy to cut and install, it is a low cost solution that can help reduce labor time and overall project costs.
Sound Absorption Panels
DuraSystems absorption panels provide noise reduction, sound absorption and sound transmission loss.
DuraSystems’ Sound Absorption Panels feature a backing layer of DuraSteel, a unique non-combustible material consisting of two metal sheets mechanically bonded to a fiber cement core that is fire, blast, moisture and impact resistant. A middle layer of acoustic media insulation and a facing layer of perforated sheet metal comprise the rest of the assembly. This innovative design translates into acoustical wall systems that provide outstanding Noise Reduction Coefficients (NRC) and significant Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings.
By incorporating the unique DuraSteel material as the backing layer of the panel, designers can achieve the same fire resistance benefits that one can expect from DuraSystems’ extensive line of passive fire protection systems.
DuraSystems’ Sound Absorption Panels are recommended for use where sound absorption is critical and are designed to silence pesky noise issues.
Sound Transmission Loss Panels
DuraSystems’ transmission loss panels provide varying degrees of noise reduction and sound transmission loss.
DuraSystems transmission loss panels incorporate DuraSteel, a unique non-combustible material consisting of two metal sheets, mechanically bonded to a fiber cement core that is fire, blast, moisture and impact resistant. DuraSteel, in conjunction with additional cladding material, provides exceptional acoustic mass and performance when stringent noise criteria need to be achieved.
A single DuraSteel sheet is 3/8” thick and provides a Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 31, equivalent to a typical interior wall consisting of a single layer of ½” drywall on each side of wooden studs with no insulation.
DuraSteel, TL25, TL40 and TL55 provide varying degrees of transmission loss. Each system offers high transmission loss and outstanding acoustical properties in a thin, yet robust design. The overall system saves valuable space while meeting critical acoustical requirements.
DuraSystems' transmission loss panels are a simple, easy to install and maintenance-free solution perfect for your acoustic needs.
